Dr. Avinash Islur

Dr. Avinash Islur completed his medical degree at University of Toronto.  He first came to Winnipeg in 2002 to complete his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at University of Manitoba.  In 2007, he moved to San Francisco to complete a Fellowship in Hand and Microsurgical Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at the Buncke Clinic in San Francisco.

Dr. Islur returned to Manitoba in 2008 as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Section of Plastic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine at University of Manitoba.  Dr. Islur serves on the Editorial Board of Microsurgery.  He joined the Breast Reconstruction Team in 2008.
